As honest as the products she designs and creates, designer and founder of Bohemian Home, Emma Risvanis, does not profess to be any kind of trend setter or design guru, but simply a curious mind who loves to make things that in turn, make people happy. Inspired by colour, sustainable materials and fuss free living, Bohemian Home takes the frills and pomp out of overcomplicated design and living to create quality functional pieces that belong in the home – not the art gallery. 

With a life time of fashion experience, Emma adores colour, loves items that have been made using up-cycled fabrics, items that remind her of her upbringing and that have a sense of individuality.

Bohemian Home's range of products are sourced from all corners of the globe, changing constantly with each new find. Bohemian Home sells items that they'd love to see in their own home, items that provide comfort, have functionality and that are simple. 

Emma says, "I am going to try and fill the shelves with items that I think are beautiful, unconventional, inspiring and collectable. I am constantly daydreaming about things that my parents and grandparents had in their homes when I was a kid....and am going to try and replicate some of that here. I don't profess to be a design guru, I just choose items that evoke a warm emotion in me. After all, isn't that why we buy most things? It's the way they make us feel?"

Where possible, the first priority is sourcing products that are made locally.
